Privacy policy
Applies to the MyHandFont Android app and the website handfont.app. Effective 3 November 2026.
MyHandFont is built to work without knowing who you are. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics software in the app. This page lists everything that does leave your device, and why.
Your drawings and fonts
The letters you draw, the fonts you make, their names and your settings are stored only on your device: in the app's own storage on your phone, or in your browser's storage (IndexedDB) when you use the website. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. The app and the web version work offline. Files you export (fonts, GIFs, PNGs and project files) go where you send them; we do not see them.
Because nothing is stored on a server, we cannot recover lost work. Keep a copy of the project file (.myhandfont.json) if your drawings matter to you. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage or clearing your browser's site data deletes them.
Purchases
The font export is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we never see your card or payment details. To check that a purchase is valid and to restore it on a new phone, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as a service provider. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID created on your phone, the purchase token from Google Play, the product bought, and basic technical details (app version, platform, country derived from the store). It does not receive your name, email address or drawings. RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf only to validate and restore purchases. In Google Play's data safety section this appears as purchase history, collected for app functionality and not shared: Google Play does not count a service provider that works on our behalf as sharing.
Crash and performance reports
If you have allowed it in your Android settings, Google Play may send us aggregated crash and performance reports (Android vitals) through the Play Console. These are collected by Google, not by the app, and contain no drawings or fonts.
The website
handfont.app is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views; it does not use cookies, does not track you across sites and gives us only aggregate numbers such as visits per page and country. We do not set any cookies. The web app keeps your drawings in your browser's storage on your device, as described above, and sends nothing to a server.
Once the app is on Google Play, links to it from this site carry a campaign label (for example "font-button") so that the Play Console can count how many installs came from the site. The label describes the link you clicked, not you.
Children
MyHandFont is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices and rights
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete; your drawings are under your control on your device. For data held by Google (purchases) or RevenueCat (the anonymous purchase record), you can contact us (see below) and we will pass on deletion requests for the anonymous ID linked to your purchase, or contact those companies directly.

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. For questions, use the developer contact shown on the MyHandFont Google Play listing once it is published.
