Terms of use

Applies to the MyHandFont Android app and the website handfont.app. Effective 3 November 2026.

Using MyHandFont

You may use the MyHandFont app and the web version to draw letters, preview them and make fonts, images and animations from your own handwriting, for personal or commercial purposes. Please do not use them to copy another person's handwriting without their permission or to break the law.

What you make is yours

You own the drawings you make and the fonts, GIFs and images created from them. The copyright line inside each exported font file carries the name you gave the font, not ours. You can use, sell or share your fonts as you like. We claim no rights in them.

The free version and the purchase

Drawing, previewing, the animated GIF, the PNG sample and project files are free. The free GIF and PNG carry a small "made with MyHandFont" tag. Exporting the font file and removing the tag is a single one-time purchase in the Android app, not a subscription. The website does not sell anything.

The purchase is made through Google Play and is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service, including Google's refund policy. It is tied to your Google account and can be restored on another Android device signed in to the same account. Prices are set per country and shown by Google Play before you pay.

Your data

Your drawings stay on your device. How the app and site handle the little data that does leave it is described in theprivacy policy. You are responsible for keeping backups of your work; we cannot restore drawings that were only on a device you lost or reset.

Acceptable use

Use the app and the website for making and sharing fonts and images of handwriting. Do not try to break, overload or reverse the website's security, and do not present a font made from someone else's handwriting as theirs without their consent. Signatures deserve particular care: a font that reproduces a signature should only ever be made by the person who signs that way.

Availability and updates

We may update the app and the website, add or change features, or stop offering a feature in a future version. Fonts you have already exported keep working, because they are ordinary font files that do not depend on the app, and the project files you saved can be kept as long as you like.

The web version

The web version at handfont.app runs in your browser and keeps your drawings in your browser's storage. It does not export font files; it saves a project file you can open in the Android app. Browsers can delete stored site data when space runs low or when you clear your history, so download the project file to keep your work safe.

No warranty

MyHandFont is provided as is. We work to make the fonts it writes install and display correctly in common software, but we cannot guarantee that every program, device or printer will accept or show them as intended. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the app or the website, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the purchase. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Trademarks

MyHandFont is our product name. Google Play and Android are trademarks of Google LLC. Other product names mentioned on this site belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the new version will appear on this page with a new effective date. For questions, use the developer contact shown on the MyHandFont Google Play listing once it is published.
